FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DO YOU ACCEPT WAYSPA?

Yes, we accept Wayspa cards with the exception of use on any discounted services; this includes any promotional specials we may have, and they cannot be used solely for the purchase of product. 


We are also not liable for any issues regarding a Wayspa card (eg. if the card does not work).


*Please bring any Wayspa cards to our front desk prior to the end of your service as they can take a couple of minutes to go through.*

DO YOU ACCEPT AMERICAN EXPRESS AND APPLE PAY? WHAT ABOUT PRE-PAID CREDIT CARDS?

Yes, we accept both American Express and Apple Pay.  However, please keep in mind that our tap might not always work seamlessly for Apple Pay and may need to have a card present to insert.


We do also accept pre-paid credit cards, however, these do not always work on our machines, so please have a separate method of payment available to use.

WHAT IS A TONER?

A hair toner is a product that helps you correct or personalize your colour.  It is used to add natural or more visible tones after a professional colour treatment.  Please keep in mind that toners are used on almost all highlighting appointments for an additional cost.

CAN I COME IN FOR JUST A TONER?

No.  Toner appointments must always be accompanied by a wash and style appointment and have to be booked within a three week time period from a previous colour service at OUR salon.  If a toner is booked beyond three weeks or you are not a guest of Lavish, a toner will be charged as a full colour charge.

IS A TRIM THE SAME SERVICE AS A HAIRCUT?

Yes.  Any time a stylist uses scissors to alternate a look or to "trim" or "clean up" the ends, it is still considered a haircut and will be charged as a cut in addition to your service.

IS THE SAME STYLIST WHO COLOURS MY HAIR THE SAME ONE WHO WILL CUT AND STYLE IT?

Yes!  All of our stylists are trained in all facets of hair and will be with you from start to finish.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE LEVEL OF STYLISTS?

You may have noticed from our "services" page that we have a few different levels of stylists; all this means is that depending on the level of stylist you choose, that level will determine the price, their level of experience in the hair industry and how long that stylist has been with us.


Our levels ranging from lowest to highest:

DO YOU DO BEARD TRIMMINGS?

We do not do any beard trimmings.

DO YOU HAVE THE SAME GRADE BARBER TOOLS FOR MEN'S CUTS?

Unfortunately, we do not have the same tools as men's barber shops and cannot do immaculate fading.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR EXTENSIONS?

The price of our extensions will completely depend on the decisions made during a free consultation with one of our stylists.  During this consultation, the stylist will be able to give you a proper cost estimate based off of the type, length and colour of the extensions you are wanting.

DO YOU CHARGE EXTRA FOR LONGER HAIR?

Yes.  Depending on the length and texture of your hair, you may be charged for more time.  This is completely dependent on the decision of your stylist.  Please book in for a consultation with one of our stylists to go over what you are wanting and how much time they will need if you are worried about an additional charge for this.

DO YOU CHARGE FOR CANCELLATIONS? HOW MUCH NOTICE DO YOU NEED?

We do not charge for any cancellations, however, we do appreciate 24 to 48 hours notice prior to your appointment so that we have the opportunity to fill it.

AFTER GETTING A COLOUR/HIGHLIGHT SERVICE, HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT TO GO SWIMMING?

We recommend waiting at least three to four days before exposing your hair to any chlorine water. 

DO YOU DO COUPLES SPA SERVICES?

Unfortunately, we no longer do any couples or group services for any of our spa services, including mani/pedi's.

DO YOU DO ACRYLIC NAILS?

Unfortunately, we do not do any artificial and/or acrylic nails.  We only provide either regular nail polish or a gel polish (a thicker and longer lasting polish) by the brand OPI.

HOW DO I BOOK FOR WEDDING SERVICES?

Please contact us via e-mail (lavish@bellnet.ca) and refer to Patricia who is our Wedding Coordinator and she will e-mail you with all of the instructions in regards to booking with us.
